Janet Roberts Ireland

Janet is a native Houstonian and a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Biology. She is a Texas Master Gardener and a Certified Wildscapes Instructor for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Her publications on nature education and landscaping have appeared in local as well as national journals and magazines.

Blending talents as a naturalist, gardener, author and businesswoman, Janet started Home & Habitat in 1998. The company’s growth from small beginnings to its success today has been based on the strength of personal service, satisfied clients and their referrals.

Janet, as owner of the company, is committed to providing clients with practical advice based on organic horticultural management for a healthier environment and beautiful results in the landscape.

Her work as a landscape designer has been influenced by travels in the U.S. and in Canada, Costa Rica, England, France and Italy where tours of public and private gardens inspire fresh ideas. Janet’s friendly, approachable style combined with her extensive knowledge of plants and the natural world, have earned her respect as an expert in a diverse field of leaders in the landscape industry.
